Just one suggestion: maybe the boy’s expression after he ate a forkful of the food could be more obviously happy, not the sort of forced smile that he did. So that, you know, he genuinely enjoyed the food because it’s good, despite it being bugs.

Well my concept is kind of a dark humor thing, no ones likes the food, no one thinks its good but it’s the only food left to eat, so they can only pretend it’s good at this point ahahah, the fact that he force smiles is like the ending of the joke. But your suggestion is fair and I will think about it. Thank you Danny!
